Poptop – one of the UK’s leading events booking platforms – has become the first of its type worldwide to offer instant quotes and availability, its founders claim.
Poptop’s Instant Quotes service allows users to get accurate pricing for everything from catering and music to photography and transport, check available dates and make provisional bookings.
It means that people organising weddings, parties and corporate functions can now ‘design’ and co-ordinate their event in a matter of hours rather than spending days or weeks calling suppliers.
The launch of new service follows the £615,000 investment in the company by the business angel network Dow Schofield Watts Angels (DSW Angels) and Northstar Ventures in December 2018. Established in 2014, Newcastle-based Poptop now has over 300,000 customers in the UK and 11,000 suppliers.
Poptop CEO Eugene Shestapol commented: “Feedback from customers suggests waiting for quotes was one of their biggest frustrations. Instant Quotes is a big improvement to their booking experience, offering huge time savings and improved confidence due to the ability to see accurate pricing and availability. Suppliers who have trialled the service have also reported a big reduction in administration time.”
