The Scottish Baby & Toddler Show has welcomed 15,000 visitors through its doors for its first-ever event north of the Border.

Organisers anticipated 10,000 visitors but had to revise their projections after an additional 5,000 people attended over three days at Glasgow’s SEC.

The show, which also runs popular editions in the South East and North West of England, took its first steps into the Scottish market in Glasgow, bringing over 150 local and national exhibitors to the event.

With support from brands who attend the well-established shows, together with a mix of new companies who wanted to target the Scottish audience, the exhibition was carefully curated to ensure it was a compelling concept for visitors to attend.

The show welcomed thousands of new and expectant parents to the event to test, try, compare and buy from a range of hundreds of products available. Visitors were also able to speak to the experts from the brands, for invaluable advice before making their important final buying decisions.

Expert advice on caring for little ones also formed part of the show via a series of interactive sessions, including baby and toddler sensory sessions, feeding advice and baby first aid.

Clare Barker, Group Show Manager at Ocean Media Group said: “The whole team has worked incredibly hard over the last few months to ensure we delivered a quality show that our clients have come to expect from us. Launching a show in a new territory can be challenging, but the SEC have really helped us to make this edition a total success.

“We are delighted with how show went, and the Scottish audience is just fantastic. We look forward to coming back in future years and welcoming even more exhibitors and visitors each time.”

Angela Smith, Business Development Manager at the SEC, added, “At the SEC, we go out of our way to ensure that organisers launching shows here in Glasgow have the best experience with us – that goes for the visitors and exhibitors, too.

“The Scottish Baby & Toddler Show is a fantastic example of organisers reaching the wider Scottish audience through the SEC. We’re very excited to work with them, and other new organisers in the future.”
