The Meetings Show 2024 opens its doors at ExCeL London on 19 and 20 June where it will connect the world’s meetings and events community for business, education and networking.

There is plenty packed into two days so eventprofs who #TakeTheTime to visit are guaranteed a big return on their investment of time.

To help you plan ahead and decide where to spend those valuable hours, we’ve picked out a few of the highlights:

Source sensational suppliers
Meet with a selection of more than 650 suppliers from around the globe – from destinations and destination management companies, to hotels, venues and technology suppliers – to find out how they can support your next meeting or event.

Whether you’re seeking a venue for a 1,000-delegate conference or for an intimate board meeting, require accommodation or looking for inspiration for an incentive trip, you’ll find it all under one roof.

International exhibitors from A-Z include Abu Dhabi Convention & Exhibition Bureau, Amsterdam Conference Centre, Chicago IS, Istanbul CVB, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Istanbul CVB, VisitDetroit CVB, Visit Faroes, Westin Grand Frankfurt, and Zimbabwe Tourism Authority.

And those closer to home include Aberdeen Convention Bureau, Conference Leeds, Destination Harrogate, Handpicked Hotels, Meet Blackpool and VisitScotland.

Many have news to share. Bristol & Bath will be updating visitors on three major developments taking place in the region, including the forthcoming YTL Arena Bristol, while the multi-award-winning Belfry Hotel & Resort in the West Midlands, which returns to The Meetings Show after five years, will share the latest on its £80m expansion and renovation project.

Get inspired and informed
Attending this year’s show also gets you access to an inspiring education programme, with 37 sessions exploring the latest trends on topics including data, security, AI, experiential design, sustainability and much more. You’ll learn new ways to take your events to the next level and connect with like-minded peers across the meetings and incentives community.

Day one’s programme starts on a high at 10am with a choice of three riveting sessions to attend: 9 to Thrive: Dolly Parton’s Guide to Sustainably Rocking Events and Meetings with Be in your Element’s Lucy Eden; How To Trust Your Imagination And Explode Your Creativity with Judge the Poet and Trends vs Reality Danceoff with Taylor Swift (Sorry, Smith!)

If you want to discover how to navigate tough discussions with courage and compassion, don’t miss Transformative Conversations: Turning Conflict into Connection with Jo Berry at 10am on 20 June. Berry turned her father’s death in an IRA bombing into a mission for reconciliation, forming a unique relationship with Patrick Magee, the ex-combatant responsible, and will share how empathy can bridge even the deepest divides.

For those looking for a more hands-on learning experience, head to the Blank Canvas where there will be AI hackathons, a neuro-diverse design challenge and innovative insights shared.

Boost networks and look after yourself
The show presents many opportunities for networking to strengthen existing connections and make new ones.

And if you’re feeling overwhelmed or in need of time-out, there’s help. The Meetings Show has again teamed up with wellbeing not-for-profit EventWell who will run a Wellbeing Hub, including the Quiet Room – a calm space offering sanctuary from the busy show floor – and Wellbeing Bar hosting breathing and yoga sessions.

For those looking for an endorphin hit during the show, sign up to the Go! Running Tour on Thursday 20 June. Meet at the entrance of ExCeL London at 7am to partake in a 3km brisk walk or 5km run. Sign up in advance here.
