The Malin group, marine engineering experts based on the banks of the Clyde, have appointed Think Different Events Ltd. to lead the delivery of their marine-focused programme of events for #COP26. The programme of events will shine a spotlight on the issue of climate change in the marine industry, with a view to identify and investigate potential sustainable solutions.
The range of specialist topics covered will include:
- Shipping’s VoyageToZero
- Marine Renewables
- UK Maritime Industry
- The Blue Economy
- Technological Evolution
- Cleaning The Seas
The Malin Group are located at the South Rotunda, with a capacity for up to 200 delegates a day, and a range of world-respected speakers. The event provides an opportunity for industry partners to contribute to the debate, network and drive forward best practice, shaping the future of the industry.
The events will be hybrid – all delegates and partner organisations will have access to a bespoke digital platform. This will enable the events to be webcast across the world and also build a space that will provide long-term opportunities to network and share best practice for the maritime sector. It will also provide useful learning resources for a range of additional industries and policymakers alike.
Helenor Fisher (Malin Group Brand Manager) commented: “COP26 presents an unprecedented opportunity for Scotland to contribute to tackling climate change and the shipping industry, as one of our oldest national industries is a central driving force in this movement. In the current climate, there is a need to offer a new style of event, that reconfigures not only how we offer opportunities to meet, but also collaborate, challenge and drive change. We are very excited to be collaborating with Think Different on this series of events for #COP26 as they are expertly placed to provide fresh and innovative ideas which we are confident will translate to a challenging and engaging conference series.”
