Jackton Distillery have announced the appointment of Edinburgh events professional Jethro Rolland as their new Head of Experience. He will oversee the tourism, accommodation and events teams for the popular distillery attraction near Glasgow, which is known for its RAER Scotch Whisky and Something Blue Wedding Gin. The appointment is a clear indication that the company intend to bring greater attention to their visitor facilities, which opened in August 2024.
Mr. Rolland formerly worked for the Scotch Whisky Experience, a five-star visitor attraction on the Royal Mile, where he looked after private events, tastings and bookings for the venue’s Castlehill Room and Amber Restaurant & Whisky Bar, in addition to hospitality packages for the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
He previously produced Jackton’s Maltings Tour for the 2025 Glasgow Doors Open Days Festival, for which the company were awarded “Outstanding New Participant” by the Glasgow Building Preservation Trust, and led the project team behind the distillery’s accessibility programme and disabled access guide, which launched in January 2026.
The distillery’s Managing Director, Jaynie Kean, said “Our Experience department went from non-existent to something incredible in just the past year. Jethro has been able to harness all that makes our distillery special and turn that into authentic and high-quality experiences for people to enjoy. I know he will be amazing in this new role.”
