Scottish events show EventIt has announced a series of Scotland-wide roadshows this autumn to give exhibitors “increased exposure” in the run-up to its annual trade show in 2018.

Scotland’s most influential events and festivals industry show has confirmed that it will return to Glasgow’s SEC on March 22, 2018 – and will offer all exhibitors taking advantage of an ‘early bird’ package a free space at one of six regional gatherings starting in August.

The regional tabletop stand and networking events will allow exhibitors to plug directly into vital local markets, and will feature some of the most important event buyers in the country.

In anticipation of the largest gathering of senior events professionals in the country, EventIt will appear at:

Thursday 24 August: Abbotsford, Melrose
Thursday 7 September: Kingsmills Hotel, Inverness
Wednesday 13 September: Stirling Highland Hotel
Wednesday 20 September: Trump Turnberry, Ayrshire
Wednesday 18 October: AECC, Aberdeen
Wednesday 25 October: Fairmont St Andrews

All exhibitors who book a 3×2 stand at EventIt on March 22 as part of the early bird offer will get a free space at one of the regional events of their choice.

The format for the regional shows will be a table-top exhibition stand and networking opportunity with delegates, who also attend for free.

Judith Wilson, EventIt Director, said: “The feedback we had for EventIt in March has been just fantastic and we are very much looking forward to replicating that success again next year.

“In order to do that, I think we have to continually demonstrate to exhibitors and show attendees that we can help stimulate opportunities for the market.

EventIt 2018 is offering a special early bird rate which will give exhibitors free space at a regional roadshow of their choice

“One of the things we have been told by exhibitors is that they would like to be able to pick up leads locally, as well as nationally and internationally. So, this autumn, we will be taking EventIt across Scotland, with six regional events from the Borders to the Highlands, with a buyer profile to match our Glasgow event.”

She added: “The best news is that these opportunities will be free for all those exhibitors who book early for EventIt on March 22 and it will without doubt give them the increased exposure they demand.”

Judith said the plan for EventIt 2018, which is entering its third year, is to expand its audience of key event buyers, which have already been secured through partners such as VisitScotland, Glasgow City Marketing Bureau, Marketing Edinburgh, VisitAberdeenshire and VisitInverness/LochNess.

EventIt will be working hard this year to build on a hosted buyer programme facilitated by its partners and also with other industry organisations such as ILEA to attract high-profile buyers from across the UK.

A number of important partnerships are set to be unveiled over the course of the next weeks and months with EventIt also due to release some compelling case studies from exhibitors who secured important business wins at EventIt 2017.

Judith adds: “The all important ‘ROI’ is never far from my mind when planning our shows. We appreciate that exhibitors have to be able to justify the expense and effort of spending a day out of the office but we are confident, given the knowledge we have already acquired, that we can demonstrate those all-important metrics to potential exhibitors.

“EventIt is now moving towards an important milestone; next March will be our third annual event and the contacts, partnerships and knowledge of the market that we have built up is supporting an absolutely laser focus on our part to get the right mix of people at our event so. We are very much aiming to become the ‘must-attend’ sales and networking opportunity for events professionals in Scotland and I’m very much looking forward to sharing all these exciting developments with our audience over the course of the next several months.”

Places at the regional events are limited so the advice is to book early. For information get in touch by emailing judith@eventit.org.uk or phone 0131 561 7345/ 0779 1103 999.
