The Meetings Industry Association (mia) has welcomed ICC Wales as a member.
As part of its membership, ICC Wales has secured the mia’s AIM Secure accreditation. To achieve this, ICC Wales had to meet strict criteria including the quality of its meeting and events facilities; commitment to delivering a healthy and hygienic environment; service delivery; compliance with legislation and commitment toward diversity and inclusion.
ICC Wales sales director Danielle Bounds said: “Attaining the AIM Secure accreditation is testament to the hard work and dedication of the ICC Wales team. This accolade will provide confidence for organisers to know that they are working with dedicated and experienced professionals who have a fantastic knowledge of our industry.
“The ICC Wales team are passionate about knowledge sharing with our industry friends and colleagues and supporting the business events sector as it continues to recover to pre-pandemic levels.”
The mia CEO Kerrin MacPhie, said: “We’re delighted that ICC Wales has joined the mia and also for its achievement in securing the AIM Secure accreditation. The iconic status acts as a guarantee to buyers that they’re choosing a service provider that cares about best practice and actively strives to meet and exceed your expectations. With so many dedicated conference centres and hotels, sporting and academic venues to choose from nationwide, it offers a smart method to quality control.”
ICC Wales can accommodate more than 5,000 delegates and includes a 4,000sqm pillar-free main hall, a 1,500-seated auditorium, 15 flexible meeting rooms, a double-height glass atrium and a 2,500sqm outdoor plaza.
