EVENTIT is bringing EXPERIENCEit to Bristol for the first time on 7 and 8 July 2026. The two-day learning forum for MICE professionals, which has successfully run in Edinburgh and Manchester, now reaches the South West with a programme that puts genuine professional development at its heart.
EXPERIENCEit Bristol will bring together event professionals from across the region for two days of industry insight, shared learning, creative challenges, creative collaborator and supplier connections and hands-on sessions at The Watershed and Pizza on the Park.
Day 1, held at The Watershed from 2pm to 5pm on 7 July, is built around a bespoke Behaviour Lab, created and delivered exclusively for EXPERIENCEit by the Event Academy, the UK’s only CIM-accredited events training provider.
Having previously been delivered to Event Academy’s own students, the team have adapted their workshop which is now available to a wider industry audience. There is nothing else quite like it in the events industry calendar: a bespoke, full-afternoon development session – structured, practical, insight-led training in how to understand your own behaviour style and adapt to the people you work with, built entirely around the realities of working in events and designed to be taken straight back into the workplace.
Each delegate will complete a personal behaviour profile questionnaire in advance. The workshop then uses C-Me profiling, a colour-coded methodology, to help attendees identify their own working style and read those of colleagues, clients and suppliers. The approach was chosen specifically because it is quick and easy to apply under pressure and accessible for neurodiverse professionals. Critically, it has been adapted from the ground up to use event-industry scenarios rather than generic business settings, covering the full range of people MICE professionals work with including clients, suppliers, venues, agencies and internal teams.
Delegates leave with a personal profile they can use immediately, and a practical framework for adapting how they communicate depending on who is in the room. The evening moves to the Harbour Hotel for a deception dinner — a social gathering that trades networking small talk for an imposter-spotting game over food.
Claire Derrick, founder of the Event Academy, said: “The events industry demands an extraordinary range of skills. You’re managing clients, suppliers, venues and colleagues all at once, often under real pressure, and every single one of them communicates differently.
“We started delivering behaviour profiling to our own students because we could see that technical training alone wasn’t enough. Understanding your own working style, and being able to read and adapt to others, including people who may be senior to you, is what separates a good event professional from a great one. We’re so pleased to be working with the team from EVENTIT to bring this to EXPERIENCEit Bristol. We hope delegates leave not just with fresh self-awareness, but with tools they can put to use the very next day.”
Day 2 at Pizza on the Park (10am to 4pm, 8 July) opens out into the full EXPERIENCEit programme. Delegates can expect talks from industry speakers, themed workshops, wellness sessions and time with exhibitors including ACF Events, De Vere, Doubletree by Hilton Bristol City Centre and SS Great Britain. The day will close with an after-party.
Judith Wilson, Events Director at EVENTIT, said: “We can’t wait to welcome delegates from across the South West to EXPERIENCEit Bristol. We have created an immersive, interactive live experience aimed at fostering creativity and meaningful engagements. It’s all about collaboration, community and inspiring the future of the industry and its professionals.
“Hosted across two days we experience a wide range of the venues Bristol has to offer with The Watershed and Pizza on the Park enabling our audience to connect in a relaxed environment during a wide variety of activities. I can say from first-hand experience the workshop is gold dust.”
Tickets start from £120 plus VAT, with single-day options available.
