Scottish events industry show EventIt has announced a content partnership with event technology show Event Tech Live.

Showcasing the best of the event technology world, the agreement will see EventIt and Event Tech Live work jointly to make technology more accessible and better tailored to the needs of events professionals in their everyday work.

Event Tech Live is an established event technology trade show in London and gathers this year for its annual event on November 9 at the Old Truman Brewery.

The event is steadily growing its number of exhibitors and is planning to enter the US market, due to the popularity of its ‘educate, experience, engage’ format.

At EventIt 2018, Scottish events professionals will be exposed to some of the best content available direct from the event technology market – with the emphasis on jargon-free presentations.

Adam Parry, Director of Event Tech Live, said: “Event Tech Live is delighted to be supporting EventIt 2018 through a content partnership. The Learning Zone at EventIt is first class and our exhibitors are perfectly placed to deliver insight into some of the best technology solutions on the market.

“Technology is such a fast-moving space that it is sometimes very difficult to keep up. Understandably, many events professionals can feel daunted by the number of platforms and emerging tech on offer. They may ask, ‘Do I need to invest in VR or AR?’, when all they really need to do is develop their own website. Obviously the top 10% of events will inevitably invest in VR and AR but the aim behind Event Tech Live is to really try and demystify some of the tech noise and make it more accessible and applicable to everyone. Hopefully we will bring that message to EventIt 2018 so event organisers will be able to navigate the market more confidently, knowing what technology to consider based on their own criteria.”

Judith Wilson, Director of EventIt, added: “It’s great to be working with Event Tech Live as a content partner for EventIt 2018. I feel it will be a great enhancement to the show and will build on the success of the technology-themed talks we have already successfully delivered via our Learning Zone. We are delighted also to be a sponsor at Event Tech Live’s Event Technology Awards.”
