20/20 Productions, the award-winning, event, video and digital production agency is celebrating its 30th birthday later this year. The company was officially formed in Edinburgh on 1st October 1990.

Aware that there was a dearth of production offerings in Edinburgh and across the North of the UK, Alastair Scott and Andy MacKay decided to set up shop. Plans were hatched in the Golf Tavern in Edinburgh and the Company launched to a ticker-tape reception.

Alastair Scott, MD, said: “From day one our passion has been based on our theatrical background – telling stories and wowing audiences – however that manifests itself. We now have offices in the US, Europe and Asia, we are extremely well placed to deliver communications solutions around the globe.”

The 20/20 team specialises in creative communications delivered by a team of experts, who consistently create the best ways to deliver, be that by live events, film, digital channels or print. Their service offering has gone from strength to strength in the last 30 years, having delivered successful communications for many high-profile clients such as CIPD, Warner Bros, Coutts, Salesforce, Standard Life, Heineken, The United Nations, GPCA and Universal Studios.

The core team across its Edinburgh, San Francisco and Dubai offices works with an extended team of freelancers and suppliers specializing in the disciplines required to provide the range of services demanded by clients.

Andy MacKay, CEO said: “Our global presence gives us a unique perspective on trends and technologies throughout the industry, enabling us to provide the best possible solutions for our clients, regardless of geographical location. Our growth and successes are testament to this, and we look forward to the future with enthusiasm as we continue to invest in our service offering.”

The ethos of the company is to also play their part in giving back to the community, alongside their strong commitment to social responsibility where they support charities each year – 2019 included Cyrenians, Ronald McDonald House, Larkin Street Youth Services, and The American Cancer Society, 20/20 Productions also have firm links to education, which has extended over the years and they now have formal relationships with schools, colleges and universities in the UK, US and UAE.

Looking back over the past 30 years, Alastair Scott added: “We’ve had many highlights and success over the three decades and I’m incredibly proud of our achievements for our many clients who continually return to us to deliver their projects. One thing which hasn’t changed is our set of values, teamwork, respect, creativity, determination, hard work, enjoyment, to name but a few. Personally, I can’t wait to see what the next decade holds for us.”
