Award-winning luxury venue, Dundas Castle, has welcomed a new face to its events team, with the appointment of Imogen Reading to the role of Sales and Events Coordinator.

With specific expertise in event management, Imogen spent four years studying at Aberdeen Business School and then worked for two years as Membership and Events Executive at In Conference Ltd.

Imogen grew up in South Queensferry, and later moved to Aberdeen where she achieved her degree in Events Management at Aberdeen Business School, Robert Gordon University. During her studies,  Imogen interned at Maximillion, Represent Comms (formerly known as O’Leary PR) and Indigo Project Solution. Imogen has also been involved in fundraising including for CLAN Cancer Support.

Alongside the Commercial and Wedding Events team, Imogen will work with clients from the first enquiry, through the planning and then successful management of events.  Her day-to-day role will be to ensure each event runs smoothly and that the customer experience for every guest is of the highest standard.

Commenting on Imogen’s appointment, owner Sir Jack Stewart-Clark said: “Imogen is an excellent addition to the team here at Dundas. Imogen added: “I am extremely excited to be part of the lovely Dundas Castle team. I grew up in South Queensferry so I have always known of Sir Jack and Lady Lydia and the five star events that use this stunning venue.

“I have a passion for people and delivering events that meet and exceed expectations. I am excited to continue delivering phenomenal events and sharing this enchanting venue with more people.”

Dundas Castle is a truly historical venue with its early fifteenth century keep and the modern Castle built in 1818. It is both a home and a five star exclusive use venue with 17 bedrooms. Situated just outside Edinburgh and within easy reach of the airport, the Castle is suitable for private events, corporate meetings and weddings.  The Castle won both ‘Wedding Venue Edinburgh, Lothian & Borders’ and the coveted ‘Scottish Wedding Venue of the Year’ at the Scottish VOWS Awards 2018.
