Claire McHardy has joined Dovecot Studios as Head of Commercial and Operations. She will oversee all commercial and visitor operations while developing Dovecot’s events strategy. McHardy and her team will build awareness for Dovecot as a unique events venue, a world-class tapestry studio and a landmark centre for contemporary art, craft and design in Edinburgh.

McHardy has over 15 years of experience in the hospitality and tourism sector, most recently as Head of Events for Benugo at the National Museum of Scotland. Prior to Benugo and NMS, she was General Manager for Heritage Portfolio at the Galleries of Modern Art One and Two and, before that, The Hub.

“I am thrilled to join Dovecot Studios and to be reopening this much-loved Edinburgh building to visitors from 26th April. Dovecot is creating breathtaking artworks and exhibitions and I cannot wait to welcome audiences back safely,” said McHardy. “Dovecot’s restored Victorian bathhouse offers five unique event spaces, including the tapestry studio, and I look forward to collaborating with event partners, clients and suppliers to accelerate our business safely with new local, regional and national opportunities.”
