The Scottish Event Campus is excited to announce the opening of a new hotel directly opposite the venue. The Radisson RED will open its doors in April 2018, with 174 rooms including 16 Suites. The hotel is the first new-build Radisson RED in Europe.
The addition of the hotel to the campus takes the total number of hotel rooms on campus to 1025. The Radisson also features a rooftop bar overlooking the River Clyde, providing further hospitality options for organisers.
Emma Jackson, Lead Sales at Radisson RED Glasgow, said: “We are excited to bring the UK’s first Radisson RED to Glasgow, a city with such a strong fit for a lifestyle hospitality brand, bringing something fresh to Glasgow and a new hospitality experience for visitors to the SEC.”
Kathleen Warden, Director of Conference Sales at the SEC, added: “The opening of the new Radisson RED hotel further emphasises the scale of development happening across the campus providing a great delegate experience whilst at conferences.
“The ever-increasing amount of hotel rooms within a five or ten-minute walk of the campus puts us in prime position for conferences and meetings of all sizes.”
The announcement closely follows the opening of The Clydeside Distillery on the other side of the campus, and forms part of the larger story of the Scottish Event Campus’ evolution.
