The National Outdoor Events Association (NOEA) has revealed its full convention programme ahead of the annual event, taking place at The Guildhall & Pump Rooms, Bath, on 22nd November 17.
Positioned as ‘The Commercialisation Project Part Two: Create, Collaborate, Control’, organisers recently announced Paul Smith, from the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) as the keynote speaker, and have now confirmed more speakers and details of the convention.
With fifteen different sessions spread over one main keynote stage, as well as two break-out sessions, the programme has been designed to meet the needs and interests of the wide variety of attendees. The convention also includes more networking during the day, more interactive sessions, and even a live screening.
Speakers include Nick Morgan from We are the Fair, David Tunnicliffe, GL events UK, Marino Fresch, Eventbrite, and Jill McCracken, also from the ECB. There will be a series called ‘My Event, My Experience’ with personal stories told by Louise Young, Strawberries and Creem, and Gill Tee, Entertee.
Content will range from the ‘creation’ of events and the enterprise behind it, to ‘collaborative’ partnerships, and finally the security and safety aspects behind ‘controlling’ a major outdoor event.
“This is a really rich programme and one we’re really excited about,” comments Susan Tanner, CEO, NOEA. “We’ve listened to the feedback from our members and have delivered a programme that is interactive, informative, and with great speakers. We’ve also added in more networking, which is important to NOEA members. It’s going to be a great day.”
The event will also include a series of sessions from NOEA’s Futures Supporters GL events UK, ACT Group and Eventbrite, on the afternoon before the Convention and Awards (21st Nov). On the day of the convention (22nd November) the evening will also see the NOEA Annual Awards celebration
