The National Outdoor Event Association (NOEA) will partner with EventScotland to present three sessions looking at the future of event delivery at this year’s EXPERIENCEit, taking place 8th February, EICC. EventScotland, has supported these sessions, allowing NOEA members, as well as members of the wider Scotland outdoor event organising community, complimentary accesses.
NOEA has curated these sessions, each looking at specific aspects of the future of events over 2024 and beyond. The sessions kick off with Goc O’Callaghan, from Buro Happold, talking about her own journey in the world of experiential event design, and how this important sector of the market will shape over the next 12-24 months. Goc is a TED speaker, experiential expert and international commentator on major events, and will draw parallels between the importance of understanding how to create experiential events, and how they can drive commercial revenue.
Goc will be followed by Martin Fitchie, Motion Technology Services. Martin recently consulted on technology for the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships in Glasgow and across Scotland, and has over 20 years’ experience across events including World Championships and Olympic Games. In his session, Martin will share how event technology is changing to better connect events to global audiences, and how organisers can learn from his experience to create communication focused infrastructures from the outset.
Finally, in a far-reaching session Connor Bryant, CEO of Rubbish Ideas and one of the leading voices in event technology will paint a positive future of event sustainability. Touching on how technology can help create better, more efficient and energy saving outcomes, Connor will talk about how the future could be brighter for the many event professionals looking to take their event’s sustainability to the next level.
“We couldn’t be more grateful to EventScotland for allowing the Scottish outdoor event industry access to these sessions,” commented Judith Wilson, Exhibition Director, EXPERIENCEit. “We have an excellent programme of content throughout the day and NOEA have underlined their own expertise in presenting relevant content with superb speakers. This is a real treat to our visitors, and another reason to come along to EXPERIENCEit.”
