Dovecot Studios is a truly unique venue in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town. Housed in beautifully restored Victorian baths, Dovecot Studios is now home to an internationally renowned tapestry studio and is a centre for contemporary art, craft, and design. Offering unique and adaptable spaces, Dovecot can accommodate a broad range of tailored events from small intimate gatherings to larger receptions, awards ceremonies, conferences, and spectacular weddings.

The expert Events Team at Dovecot work in partnership with caterers and audio-visual specialists to make your bespoke event come to life in our cultural and historic surroundings. In addition to a selection of great event spaces, Dovecot Studios can also offer your guests unique opportunities such as bespoke workshops and private viewings of our rotating exhibitions throughout the year.

Dovecot has versatile event spaces, allowing for all types of events to accommodate 20 to 250 guests.

The Weaving Floor is the most sought after of Dovecot’s spaces, not least due to its stunning Victorian vaulted ceiling and colourful wool spool wall displays. The Weaving Floor is only available on selected days throughout the year, making it a truly exclusive space.

The Viewing Balcony has a light and atmospheric setting with a stunning view over our Tapestry Studio.

The Ladies Baths are blank canvas which can suit any event. This large, flexible space is ideal for workshops, receptions, performances, and talks.

The Meeting Room lends itself perfectly for formal and informal discussions, workshops and board meetings.
