Lime Venue Portfolio has marked a major milestone in its sustainability journey with the release of the third and final edition of its ESG Event Planning Guide series. The debut of the ‘G’ Guide in June completes the trio of practical resources designed to help event organisers embed Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles into their planning, with the series already downloaded hundreds of times across the industry.

The response from planners, venues, and sustainability leaders has been overwhelmingly positive, positioning the guides as some of the most actionable and accessible resources available for event professionals tackling the growing complexity of ESG delivery.

Launched in stages over the past year — with the ‘E’ (Environmental) Guide in November, ‘S’ (Social) Guide in February, and now the ‘G’ (Governance) Guide — the series has become a key part of Lime Venue Portfolio’s wider commitment to sustainable and socially valuable events.

Jo Austin, Sales Director, Lime Venue Portfolio, commented: “We knew when we launched the first guide that there was a real hunger from planners to do better, but they needed support, clarity, and confidence. Seeing hundreds of downloads and hearing how the guides are shaping event strategies across the country has been incredible. It’s not just about sustainability anymore — it’s about legacy, responsibility, and real, lasting value.”

Each guide breaks down ESG principles into practical steps that support both planners and suppliers, covering topics such as carbon measurement, food waste, diversity, well-being, and ethical supply chains. The final ‘G’ guide goes further, exploring governance, accountability, and reporting frameworks, giving organisers the tools to measure and communicate impact.

The ESG Event Planning Guide series is freely available to download from the Lime Venue Portfolio website here. Each guide is designed to work independently or as part of the full ESG framework, giving planners the flexibility to start wherever they are on their journey.
