A leading Scottish events and theming company has revealed ambitious expansion plans following a £500,000 investment round.
Blue Parrot Events Group has been busy developing silent auction, social marketing and virtual reality software as is now reaping the rewards with the creation of new full-time positions and the appointment of a new chairman to their board of directors.
Having established a strong presence in the UK events industry since 2007 working with clients such as British Airways, KPMG, Hilton and Diageo , Blue Parrot has also undergone a company rebrand which has seen the formation of a new group structure. The company’s hire division has rebranded to Event Art and joins the groups sister event brands, Bid In Scotland and Social Jungle working under the newly formed Blue Parrot Events Group umbrella.
In addition to the re-brand, the company have announced the appointment of John Anderson, Head of Strathclyde Business School SME Engagement, as chairman to a newly formed board of directors with the aim of driving forward the company’s ambitious future growth plans which include making acquisitions across the UK events industry.

John is someone who I have hoped would join us for a considerable time since recently coming through the pioneering GAP programme at Strathclyde University to which John is programme Director. He brings experience in a number of non-exec director and chairman roles and is someone who I’m sure will inspire the whole team to further success. We are absolutely delighted that he has joined the Board and I am looking forward to working with him on our exciting plans for the future “.

The company currently operates its Head office from East Kilbride and has branches in the Midlands, Bristol Dublin and operates a franchise in Dubai.
