Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel in Edinburgh to host 12th Annual Conference and Award for Executive Secetaries and PAs in Scotland

2020 sees the 12th Annual Conference and Award for Executive Secretaries and PAs in Scotland (ACES) taking place on Friday 24th January at the Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel in Edinburgh.

ACES is the original and longest-running conference and awards ceremony for PAs, EAs, Office Managers and office support professionals in Scotland.  It’s a conference, exhibition and annual award, providing a one-stop-shop for learning, development, knowledge sharing and networking.

The focus of this year’s event is all about this new decade – how will cloud based applications affect you? Are you comfortable with cloud-based applications? What are the pros and cons? How can you make the cloud work for you? There will also be the opportunity to learn or refresh skills and personal development in effective time management, conflict management, developing creative thinking and networking – on the day with your peers and afterwards with your enhanced skills.

Gail Hannah, Director at MacKay Hannah, said: “We always listen carefully to the feedback that delegates give us following each year’s event and develop the programme and training for the following year around that feedback. We’ve some delegates who are attending for the 12th time this year and many others who have attended multiple times so that repeat attendance clearly demonstrates the enjoyment and value delegates get from attending this event.”

12th Annual Scottish PA of the Year Live Vote

Nominations have now closed for the Scottish PA of the Year and once again the standard of nominees has been very high.

Gail Hannah, also one of the judges, said: “As ever, we had a tough time whittling the nominations down to our final three but have managed to do so. ACES stands for Awarding and Celebrating Excellence in Scotland and this is exactly what we want to do at this event by recognising those individuals in the profession who make a real difference.” Delegates will get the opportunity to vote for their winner live at the event on the 24th.

ACES 2020 Charity and Other Partners

ACES is delighted once again to be partnering with Jeans for Genes. Jeans for Genes Day is the annual fundraising campaign for Genetic Disorders UK, the national charity that supports individuals and families affected by a genetic disorder. We encourage all delegates to wear something denim in support of the charity.

Gail Hannah added: “We’d like to thank all our ACES 2020 Partners – Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel, The PA Exchange, Cameron, Toast Promotional Products, Jeans for Genes, Appetite for Business, CMP Solutions and EventsBase – for their support this year.
