VisitBritain have released the first details of The Business Events Growth Programme, which forms part of the Government’s commitment to grow the business events sector.
The programme can support those looking to win international events or to develop and internationalise their own events.
Types of event support
- Bid Enhancement & Support to bid and win new international business events for the UK
- International Delegate Growth to support the growth, development and internationalisation of business events in the UK
- Government Advocacy to support the UK’s business events industry and adding value to your events by working with HM Government
Financial support
Funding applications are open for this financial year 2021/22 (to 31 March 2022).
Proposals are accepted for support of up to £20,000 per event/bid.
Applications are welcomed from organisations, including but not limited to: event organisers, convention bureau / destination management organisations, universities and associations.
Future enquiry
The Business Events Growth Programme can support events taking place in future financial years: if the activity you are requesting funds for will occur by 31 March 2022, apply to the programme as soon as possible.
If the expenditure will occur between April 2022 and March 2023, you can complete the enquiry form to register interest for potential future event support grant funds.
