One of Scotland’s largest gaming events, 4TG Game Con, is returning to Aberdeen later this year. The popular event will take place at the North Easts brand new event venue, The Event Complex Aberdeen (TECA), on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 October 2019.
Alexa Scott, 4TG Event Director said: “The natural progression for this event after two very successful years in 2016 and 2017 at AECC was to re-launch at Aberdeen’s brand new event venue, TECA. We’re looking forward to the game con growing at TECA and for fans to experience it in a brand new state of the art space. We can’t wait to welcome gamers of all ages back for two days of fun!”
Those attending can expect diverse gaming offering including: an arcade zone; retro and classics; rock up and play; board games and collectables; kids zone; VR zone; exhibitors and merchandise area; cosplay with chances to get up on stage and take part in the 4TG Cosplay Championship; a developer panel for gamer questions as well as the chance to play and test brand new unreleased games in the indie zone.
The event also features some additional areas in 2019 including a brand new Fortnite Zone and interactive sessions and attractions for families with creative building zones, as well as tournaments.
Louise Stewart, Head of Exhibitions at AECC and TECA, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome 4TG Game Con back to Aberdeen, especially to our brand new venue TECA. Being able to host the event as it develops and grows is great, and part of our strategy is to add new event content to the North East. With 48,000 sq.m of brand new, flexible event space at TECA, we look forward to announcing more consumer exhibitions and events very soon. 4TG Game Con is always a popular event and we look forward to welcoming gamers to TECA later this year.”
