‘Financial constraints and lack of creative inspiration’ cited by delegates as barrier to innovative events delivery

Financial constraints and lack of creative inspiration were among the common reasons cited by events industry delegates for why they were unable to produce innovative events.

The feedback came during a speed-dating session between suppliers and event organisers last week at the annual What’s Trending in Events conference at Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh.

Alicja Schramm-Dubiel, of the EVOLVE Group, took a novel approach when addressing her audience at the sessions asking delegates what their biggest problems when organising events were. After hearing the financial and creative issues, she talked about how Evolve could offer, ‘Small menu activations to full-scale brand launches and even decking out an entire festival’ and gave visual examples of work they’ve done with many big drinks brands including Johnnie Walker, Jack Daniels and Bacardi.

Tackling the financial constraints issue, Alicja said that the advantage of working with Evolve is that they offer comprehensive end-to-end service from the initial concept design to production and installation, saying, ‘We do everything ourselves, we know our materials, we know our machines and we urge our customers to dream big because very often a small budget can go further than you think.’

She said that to keep costs down they have an ‘in house print facility’ at their Newbridge base and can make anything from small format to large banners and signage.
