With facial recognition, AR, VR, AI and productivity tech just some of this year’s novel bite points, Event Tech Live 2018, the fifth edition, will be the biggest yet. And not just in terms of participants and content.

Event Tech Live (ETL)’s sought after, open plan platform for the latest systems and solutions in the event world expands to two days this year, in response to demand from its visitors, exhibitors and supporters.

“When we put the first plans together for Event Tech Live it was about partnerships as much as anything else,” Co-founder Adam Parry explains. “You could see this innovation pipeline, these time/money saving, experience enhancing solutions taking shape and we wanted a tap out of the confines of ‘tech world’ into live events.

“Talking to/listening to representatives from all sides of the ETL equation over the last 24 months, now is the time to step-up to a second day, to give more people a better chance of being a part of the show.

Splitting the sessions into categories [Brand & Buzz, Conference & Creativity, Expo & Engage, Festival & Future and Launchpad] paid perfect dividend when it was introduced to the show in 2017, optimising the ETL journey. This year, while the topics for presentations/round tables and demonstrations are fixed, the pitch, the slant, and a fair few of the speakers, will be different day to day.

“We have had a spectacular response, once again, to our content recipes, so big thanks to all involved for stirring in the ingredients,” Parry adds.

Elsewhere on the show floor, first time exhibitors include Say Fromage, ‘innovators of interactive photography experiences’, event management solution Sava Events, Yada Events, which is behind an app focused on social and emotional engagement in the industry, and web-based business tools specialist Zoho.

ETL has new partners too, in the shape of Brella and Sava, full detail of which are on the website, alongside the exhibitor list, the full calendar of content and an opportunity to register.

Event Tech Live takes place at the Old Truman Brewery, London on November 7 and 8 and is supported by Headline sponsor Engage by D2i Systems.
