Dundas Castle unveils new appointment

Award-winning luxury venue, Dundas Castle, has welcomed a new face to its sales team with the appointment of Laura Burdin to the role of Commercial Sales Manager.

Laura brings over 10 years’ of experience working in sales, events and hospitality. She joins the Dundas team after four years in the conference and events team at Doubletree by Hilton in Dundee, where she was responsible for implementing budgets. Prior to this, Laura spent three years at the Carnoustie Golf Hotel in the food and beverage team, and assisted in both the soft launch and grand opening of Hotel Gotham Manchester.

In her new role at Dundas Castle, Laura will promote the venue as one of Scotland’s premier private events spaces and she will play a key role in achieving the company’s growth goals, as well as building on the venue’s outstanding reputation for service and delivery to delegates. Laura will work with local and international clients and strengthen contacts with DMCs and corporates.

Dundas Castle is a truly historical venue with its early fifteenth century keep and the modern Castle built in 1818. It is both a home and a five star exclusive use venue with 17 bedrooms. Situated just outside Edinburgh and within easy reach of the airport, the Castle is suitable for private events, corporate meetings and weddings.  The Castle won both ‘Wedding Venue Edinburgh, Lothian & Borders’ and the coveted ‘Scottish Wedding Venue of the Year’ at the Scottish VOWS Awards 2018 and 2019.
