NOEA Scotland is the country’s only association looking after all sectors of the Scottish event market from event suppliers, event production professionals, event and festival organisers, entertainment agencies, local authority events departments, venues, universities and freelancers to land owners.
The association is dedicated to enhancing professionalism in the outdoor events industry through education, lobbying and advice, creating business networking and business opportunities. Members are referenced, credit-checked and agree to abide by a code of conduct.
NOEA Scotland is focused on assisting members through the many changes occurring within the industry – from charging by the police to CDM regulations, to licensing and planning applications, to name just a few.
The committee is always on hand to assist members. It is active in lobbying parliament and various authorities on behalf of not only its members but also the industry, which contributes more than £3.5bn to the Scottish economy.
NOEA organises networking meetings as well as national conferences and award ceremonies. Being part of the largest event association in the UK – the National Outdoor Events Association – NOEA Scotland and its members can call upon the assistance of the chief executive and her staff.
It has member offers ranging from legal advice to invoice financing and health and safety advice. It is also represented on the boards of The Purple Guide and BVEP and the EIF.
