Aberdeen’s new exhibition centre, TECA, has secured a contract to deliver three large-scale consumer exhibitions over the next 12 months.
Jasmine, which recently acquired D2 Marketing, will bring the highly acclaimed Dedicated 2 Weddings exhibition to TECA, along with a show for children and a new health and fitness exhibition.
The popular Dedicated 2 Weddings event will take place on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th September. The event will deliver a host of wedding inspiration, along with demonstrations by many of Scotland’s finest wedding suppliers, inspiring venues, and thrilling fashion shows, all under one roof.
Furthermore, for the second year in a row, a fun-filled day out for the whole family is promised at the two-day Scottish Kids Show and Christmas Market, which will be held at TECA from Saturday 30th November to Sunday 1st December.
Finally, a brand-new Health and Fitness Show will welcome gym enthusiasts and those who are just starting out on a fitness campaign to experience an active weekend, which will include taster exercise classes, motivational speakers, workshops, and Q&A sessions. The Health and Fitness Show will take place on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd February 2020.
Danny Cowie, Jasmine managing director, commented: “We are delighted to welcome D2 Marketing to the Jasmine team, and very much look forward to working with TECA. The events complex is a great development for the North East, and we are confident these exciting exhibitions will be very popular.”
Claire-Lena Miller-Davis, Exhibition Sales Manager at TECA said: “TECA continues to bring a variety of events for everyone and securing three major exhibitions is a boost for the North East. We hope to continue to secure more exhibitions, as TECA is an excellent and flexible space, and working with a leading Aberdeen communications company such as Jasmine is a great connection for us.”
The Event Complex Aberdeen (TECA) is Scotland’s brand new, state-of-the-art events venue. Opening in summer 2019, the £333 million development, being delivered by Aberdeen City Council in partnership with Henry Boot Developments, will replace the Aberdeen Exhibition Conference and Centre (AECC) with 48,000 square metres of multi-purpose event space, and will boast world-class conference and exhibition halls, a superior arena, spacious hospitality boxes and a high-end restaurant.
