A young Association Sales Executive from The Event Complex Aberdeen (TECA) has represented the North East of Scotland at the Forum for Young Professionals (FYP) in Barcelona.

Neale Farman joined 35 diverse young professionals to enhance their professional skills, expand networks and gain extensive knowledge from industry experts who presented at the event during the IBTM World trade show.

“Not only were the education sessions incredibly valuable, the opportunity to network and liaise with like-minded professionals at a similar stage in their careers was rewarding,” said Neale. “It allowed for knowledge and information sharing as well as the opportunity to discuss successes and upcoming challenges that we all face within the industry.”

Whilst in Barcelona the TECA team joined the Scotland Stand with other Scottish partners at IBTM World 2018 from 27 November until 29 November at the FIRA Gran Via. IBTM World is the leading global event for the meetings, incentives, conferences and events (MICE) industry. Kim Stephen, Head of Sales – Conferences,Meetings & Banqueting at TECA said: “We were very proud of Neale, being selected from a global pool of applicants which is undoubtedly a great accomplishment. IBTM was the first event that TECA has exhibited at, and we’re delighted to say event professionals were as excited as we are about TECA opening next summer. We had many successful meetings which hopefully will lead to attracting new events to Aberdeen in the future.”
