PCMA (Professional Convention Management Association) has announced it is to work with visit.brussels to enhance the education programme of the sixth European Association Summit (EAS), taking place in Brussels on 8-9 March 2018.

Utilising its senior level education expertise, PCMA supports visit.brussels in the development of the event’s educational elements, as well as provide speaker and moderator support, while visit.brussels leads the strategy, communications, structure and format of the event.

On the second day of the event, PCMA will present a topical session entitled The Age of Business Event Engagement: An Audience Centric Approach to Building Community. At this session, participants will learn about the factors that drive engaging event experiences, as well as ways to effectively evaluate events to increase audience engagement.

Luca Favetta, PCMA Regional Business Director, EMEA, said: “We are looking forward to working with visit.brussels and partners to deliver an invaluable education programme at this year’s EAS. Since the appointment of our European Advisory Board at last year’s Convening Leaders event in Austin, we have done significant research behind the scenes to fully understand the needs of the region and look at innovative ways to provide tailored education from Europe, for Europe.”

Favetta is leading PCMA’s focus on the education needs of business event professionals in Europe. Building on the success of last year’s Knowledge Exchange events in London and Barcelona, PCMA will have the opportunity to share knowledge and consult with industry leaders in Brussels.

“We are very happy with PCMA’s creative input to this year’s European Association Summit edition”, says Elisabeth Van Ingelgem, Director of visit.brussels Convention and Association Bureau. “It is a confirmation of our long standing good relationship and the strength of the Summit as the key event in Europe being made for association professionals by association professionals”.

The EAS, organised in collaboration with leading partners in the sector – ESAE (European Society of Association Executives), FAIB (Federation of European & International Associations Based in Belgium), UIA (Union of International Associations), the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) and PCMA – has become an unmissable opportunity for industry professionals to share information and knowledge, and network with other international association professionals.
