Event industry florist Roseparks helped with the floral arrangements for a series of Scottish roadshows – fronted by TV fashion guru Gok Wan.

The Edinburgh-based florist worked with the telly star on his eight Scottish Fashion Brunch Club roadshow events in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Inverness and Dundee.

John Davidson, Business Manager at Roseparks, said: “We were delighted earlier this year to be referred to Gok Wan’s team to provide floral tablecentres. Because of the nature of the events we provided simple vase arrangements in tune with their theme of art deco.

“We were lucky enough to meet Gok and received the following lovely message of thanks post events.

“I can’t thank John & Lianne at Roseparks enough for supplying the stunning table decorations for our Fashion Brunch Club events in Scotland. With very little creative brief, they created a fabulous centrepiece for each of our tables which made our events that extra bit special. We received a number of compliments from the guests solely about the flowers. Thanks again, it was a dream working with you!!” Gok Wan and The Fashion Brunch Club Team.'”

Roseparks opened its doors in 2005 as an independent family-run florist specialising in weddings,  corporate events & hospitality. Its work regularly goes on display at some of the most prestigious venues in and around Edinburgh.

Davidson adds: “We believe passionately about customer service and attention to detail in all areas of our business and boast an excellent working relationship with our suppliers, venues and customers alike.”

The business partnership consists of head florist Lianne Gray, who is “well known within the industry for her commitment and enthusiasm,” adds Davidson.

Pamela Davidson looks after Accounts and John steers and steadies the business. Another important member of the team is Lianne’s Number 1, Jo Lofkvist, who has been with the firm since 2007. Jo is team leader to trainees, an “exceptional florist” and creates many of the bespoke designs.

Davidson said: “Although being a small family business we just love to punch above our weight and this is evidenced in the work we get asked to do such as creating bespoke designs for Edinburgh International Film Festival Premiere, after party events of ‘God’s Own Country, ‘Whisky Galore’, golf themed ’Tommy’s Honour’ and MacBeth.”

He says: “The variety of requests and work keeps us focused and inspired to continue to produce high quality work. Throughout the year and as one of their listed suppliers we carry out many events in the National Museums Scotland venues including their familiarisation showcase events where we are allowed a free hand in design and inspiration in our bespoke designs including recently our ‘Lady Ringleader’ mannequin for a dark circus-themed event. We also work on many weddings and events throughout the year for Edinburgh Castle and The Royal Botanic Garden amongst others.”
